a comprehensive guide to the past and current style of America's first female vice president
KAMALA'S CLOSET was established to document the past and current style of America's first female Vice President. The site and its accompanying social media accounts were months in the making and will continue to update regularly as Kamala's historic career continues. VITTORIA VIGNONE, its author, was born in New York City, where she currently lives with her partner of 14 years. She has written about fashion for over 10 years, both professionally and in her spare time, for various blogs and social media accounts. She has a BA and MA in Art History, and wrote her Master's thesis on the way 16th century women used fashion to codify their identities and how this subsequently affected their depictions in private and public art. THE SITE AND ITS AUTHOR acknowledge that the topic of fashion in politics is a controversial one. However the author is a firm believer that how a person chooses to dress matters and is worth discussing, and that fashion can be at any time both fun and political, and that neither is mutually exclusive of the other. |
